The Morton Jaffray waterworks and pipelines to Lonchivar and Marimba Reservoirs will be shut down between July 21 and July 24, 2022, according to a plan by the Harare City Council (HCC). The local government authority asked residents of the impacted districts to use water carefully during the designated period, according to a notice sighted by 24newsONLINE. Reads the declaration:
NOTICE OF A PLANNED PLANT SHUTDOWN AND PIPELINES FROM MORTON JAFFRAY TO LOCHINVAR AND MARIMBA RESERVOIRS
Please be advised that there will be a shutdown of pump station no 1 (Morton Jaffray) and the two lines servicing Lochinvar and Marimba reservoirs from Thursday 21st of July 2022 till the 24th of July 2022. The works are scheduled to start at 1800hrs on the 21 and end at 1800hrs on the 24th.
The affected areas are Mufakose, Kuwadzana, Glenview, Glen Norah, Parts of Willowvale, Budiriro, and other surrounding suburbs.
